Parent Information-Practice

Practice schedule:

Monday – Friday, 3:00 – 5:00*

Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. (reduced squad, we only get 2 lanes)

* All athletes are expected to be on-deck, changed, SHOWERED, with a FULL water bottle, ready to swim by 2:50.  The bus generally gets them to the pool by 2:35, this should not be an issue.  After practice we typically do dry-land so you should plan on picking up at Cornerstone around 5:25.  Please do NOT wait along the main driveway into Cornerstone parking lot.  It will severely restrict traffic and cause problems that we don’t need to deal with. There are a lot of athletes being picked up between the Conard and Hall teams.

Bus transportation is provided by the school to Cornerstone on Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri.  Wednesday’s are shortened school days and no bus is provided, as such athletes must arrange for their own transportation to practice on Wednesday.  There is no transportation home from practice.  Athletes must arrange for their own transportation home from Cornerstone.

Parent Information-Meets

Home meets:

At Cornerstone.  The bus schedule to home meets follows the bus schedule for practice.  There is no bus on Wednesday.

Away meets:

The school provides bus transportation to our away meets.  All athletes must ride the bus to an away meet.  Under extenuating circumstances (which should be pre-approved) a parent may provide transportation to an away meet.  Under no circumstances shall a student drive themselves to an away meet.

All athletes are expected to stay until the meet is finished and ride the bus home from an away meet. If an extenuating circumstance arises, the athlete’s parent must fill out and sign a release form (I have them with me).  It must be signed in my presence.  Your cooperation with compliance to school rules and policies in this area will be greatly appreciated.

On the way home from an away meet, I typically give the athletes a 15 minutes heads up for our arrival back at Conard.  They are all asked to call for their ride home at that time.  It is my expectation that the athlete's ride is waiting for them at Conard upon our arrival.  At times the school is not unlocked when we get back.  In these circumstances I don’t want to be waiting in the parking lot for late arrivals.  Please be considerate of the coaching staff.
